The Farm
The Dickerhof is a historic, enclosed farm located at an altitude of about 800 meters above sea level. With its centuries-old history, which frequently appears in ancient writings, the farm tells a long and vibrant story. The name 'Dickerhof' originates from the word 'Dickicht,' reflecting the dense natural vegetation that surrounds the farm.

At Dickerhof, a variety of warmth-loving crops thrive under optimal climatic conditions. This allows us to produce high-quality food in excellent quality, even if the quantities are sometimes limited. From chestnuts, fresh fruits and vegetables to meat, eggs, and honey—only the best is served at our table.
The maintenance of our meadows, pastures, and forests not only contributes to the preservation of the centuries-old cultural landscape but also to the protection of biodiversity. Open meadows, dry stone walls, and diverse ecological niches provide habitats for numerous plants, reptiles, insects, and birds. For us, biodiversity is not just a matter of nature conservation but an essential foundation for the economic future of upcoming generations. The landscape we preserve is valued and admired by both locals and visitors alike.
For us as a family, the Dickerhof is far more than just a workplace. It is our little kingdom, where we enjoy freedom, fresh air, and ample space for living and thriving. Here, our children grow up in unspoiled nature and learn the values that shape life on a farm.
„Learn from the pace of nature, Her secret is patience.“
- Ralph Waldo Emerson
