How to Get to the Dickerhof

Directions from the motorway exit "Bolzano Nord" to the Dickerhof

• Leave the motorway at the Bolzano Nord exit and follow the signs towards Bolzano city centre.

• Drive through Bolzano in the direction of the "Val Sarentino" Valley, passing through Rencio and Bolzano Paese. Cross Ponte Sant’Antonio, which is only wide enough for one-way traffic at a time, then turn left towards San Genesio Atesino.

• Continue uphill along the well-maintained panoramic road towards San Genesio. Please note: some navigation systems still direct drivers along the old, narrow road. Be sure to follow the signs for the newer road, which has two lanes throughout.

• After approximately 7 km, turn right towards Avigna. The turn-off is well before the village centre of San Genesio, which remains on your left.

• Follow the road for around 8 km through forests and meadows until you reach Avigna. The road is narrow and mostly single-lane, but there is enough space for oncoming traffic in almost all sections.

• Drive through the village of Avigna and continue towards Hinterafing, passing the small industrial area with the Höller joinery and Reichhalter Treppen.

• The Dickerhof is located in Hinterafing. Take the third entrance on the right, or the first entrance on the right after Platzer’s Hofladen farm shop.

The total distance from Bolzano is approximately 15–17 km. The journey takes around 25–30 minutes and is almost entirely uphill, with many bends along the way.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

• Leave the motorway at the Bolzano Sud exit and follow the signs towards the Bolzano industrial area.

• Continue across Ponte Roma, then turn onto Via Roma.

• Follow Corso Italia towards Piazza 4 Novembre.

• From Piazza 4 Novembre, continue onto Via Cadorna.

• Before reaching Via Sarentino, turn right towards San Genesio Atesino.

The journey from Bolzano Sud takes approximately 30–35 minutes. Depending on traffic in the industrial area, it may take slightly longer than the route from the Highway Exit "Bolzano Nord".
